Women Writers Challenge

On International Women’s Day 2012 I lamented that I hardly read any modern books by female writers.  I decided to challenge myself to read at least 6 modern (post 1950) books written by women this year.  Here is where I will store my thoughts on the books I read as part of that challenge.

  3. The L Shaped Room – Lynne Reid Banks published in 1960
  4. Case Histories – Kate Atkinson published in UK in 2004
  5. Foreign Bodies – Cynthia Ozick published in the UK in 2010
  6. The Song of Achilles – Madeline Miller published in the UK in 2011
  7. The Piano Teacher – Elfriede Jalinek published in 1983
